My child needs an Epipen for serious allergies. What’s their risk of an allergic reaction following vaccination?

The risk of a serious (anaphylactic) reaction from a COVID-19 vaccine is extremely rare. Most people with allergies do not need to worry. 

COVID vaccines do not include any seafood, nuts or other food that can cause allergies. 

In the very unlikely event of an allergic reaction after the vaccine, health care staff at the vaccine clinics are trained and prepared to provide any treatment needed.
